5.0 star star star star starCarlene Porter is excellent! She is knowledgeable and takes time to answer all my questions and explain my results. She genuinely seems to care for her patients, and she also has a great sense of humor! Wonderful to deal with.

5.0 star star star star starCarlene is extremely competent, thorough, and engaging. She is at the top of the list of APRN, CNPs my husband and I have ever seen. She explained my condition so well that I thought I'd just taken a class in medical school. Very comforting. Great bedside manners. Highly recommend her!

5.0 star star star star starShe was thoughtful, attentive, experienced and realistic. She answered my questions immediately. For things she needed Dr Tomic’s input on she contacted her real time and was able to provide me guidance during the visit. Both Kim Smallwood and Carlene Porter have been bright spots in my care at NW Med.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
